TapCloud, a leader in patient engagement and remote patient monitoring solutions, announced today the appointment of Phillip Traylor as Chief Executive Officer. Tom Riley, TapCloud’s visionary founder, will assume the role of Founder and Chief Product Officer and will continue his role as Chairman.
In the last 12 months, TapCloud reached several major milestones.
Tripled the number of customers
Increased the number of active patients by 400%
Expanded the breadth and depth of customers to include oncology, chronic care, behavioral health and health plan
Solidified its leadership position in the rapidly growing palliative and hospice and home healthcare space
Diversified the revenue stream by offering value-added new products and expanding partnerships
Secured a patent for TapCloud’s novel symptom identification system (just notified)
Like many startups, TapCloud reached an inflection point where the rapid growth requires an increased focus on scaling and execution. Phil was selected to lead TapCloud to the next stage of growth. His extensive experience includes previous roles such as:
General Manager at UnitedHealthGroup/Optum for the Care Services Business (supporting 33M members)
Global head of strategy for Cognizant’s Healthcare portfolio driving 5 year strategy, product development and M&A
Head of Product and Sales for multiple earlier stage healthcare companies including PopHealthCare and Inovalon.
Phil enters the role with deep experience at TapCloud. He began as an investor in 2017 and shortly thereafter became a strategic advisor. In 2018, he became the Chief Strategy Officer and acted as the company co-pilot, driving the strategies to ignite the company’s growth.
Phil’s healthcare executive experience, drive for results, ability to manage growth organizations, and intricate knowledge of TapCloud make him ideally suited for this role.

Tom’s vision combined with his decades of healthcare experience led to the creation of TapCloud – a platform established well ahead of the market. He saw the emerging need well before providers, payers, healthcare systems, and the government. He is an evangelist for change, and his infectious passion has been critical to TapCloud’s growth.
