Patient Generated Health Data Improves Patient Health
There is a data revolution in health care. The rise of digital health technologies enables vast amounts of patient health data to be collected. This data, called patient generated health data (PGHD) because it is generated by the patient through apps, wearables, and connected devices, can provide insight into a patient’s health. The data may be biometric or symptomatic, synchronous or asynchronous, continuous or episodic.
The challenge is how do health care professionals use this data to improve patient health.
A new white paper dives deep into patient generated health data, providing guidance on the capture, use and sharing of PGHD. A practical guide was also created to assist with implementation.
