TapCloud Selected for Surgical Opportunity Throughout the Province of Ontario, Canada

TapCloud to provide innovative solutions to reduce costly readmissions in the new Ontario bundled care model.

Chicago, IL, March 8, 2018

TapCloud, a leading patient management platform, announces they have been qualified by the Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN) as a Vendor of Record to offer a surgical patient management solution to Ontario’s more than 220 hospitals.  TapCloud, in partnership with SafeStart Medical, a leading surgical safety application, and InTouch Health, the leading telehealth enterprise platform, was selected after a competitive evaluation process of numerous North American companies.

OTN brings virtual care innovation to the people of Ontario.  With more than 600,000 surgeries taking place each year in Ontario, OTN sought new technology solutions to address common challenges facing hospitals:  reducing readmissions, reducing surgical delays and cancellations, improving the surgical safety process, and improving patient satisfaction.

After a rigorous review, OTN selected the partnership of TapCloud, SafeStart Medical, and InTouch Health based on the mature and market-tested patient management technology that standardizes surgical pathways and improves health outcomes.

“We are honored to be selected by the renowned Ontario Telemedicine Network to provide a robust solution for helping patients navigate the entire surgical experience, providing the highest quality of care and reducing costs”, said Tom Riley, CEO of TapCloud.  “Our Ontario solution, called InTouch Surgical, integrates patient management, surgical safety, and an advanced clinical alert system, providing OTN with a superior approach to deliver continuity of care, reduce costly readmissions, and enhance recovery after surgery.”

The platform virtually connects the surgery patient and care team from the initial office visit all the way through to recovery. This ensures continuity of care leading to reductions in errors and cancelled surgeries as well as costly hospital readmissions while patients recover comfortably at home.

Added Riley, “We are excited to partner with SafeStart Medical and InTouch Health.  These types of partnerships with recognized innovative healthcare companies enable TapCloud to provide our patent-pending patient management technology to new populations, new healthcare organizations, and new geographies.”
